Corner Brook city council has spent more on travel from January to June of this year as compared to last year. More than $21K has been spent compared to last year’s over $15k. At this week’s public meeting, Councillor Donna Luther gave a break down on who spent what:

Mayor Linda Chaisson highlighted that they’ve spent more than what was in the budget, about $1,000. The city’s Director of Finance and Administration, Robert George, explained that some money from the budget can be reallocated to cover it.
The Municipalities NL annual Conference is being held in St. John’s November 5-7th. Mayor Linda Chaisson and Deputy Mayor Pam Keeping will attend.
