Young people ages 6-14 have a chance to build and test their own robots made with something found in most toy boxes … .LEGOS. The Centre for Research and Innovation on Mill Road started their fall session of LEGO Robotics this week and the place was “blocked.” Neil Nordeje is the Centre’s Makerspace Coordinator. He says they have LEGO Robotics Kits and many different designs to choose from, then they go to a LEGO Robotics website to program them.
Sessions are held at CRI every two weeks on a Tuesday evening with groups, ages 6-9 and 10-14. Nordeje says they’re making plans to offer something similar to older teens. For more information or to register, go to the Centre for Research and Innovation facebook page.
