Some members of the Royal Canadian Navy are in Corner Brook for a free concert tonight. The Stadacona Band are here as part of their “Turning Tides” tour celebrating the music, stories and connections that link the province to the past, present and future of the Canadian Armed Forces. The concert program brings together a diverse selection of music reflecting the people, places and traditions of Atlantic Canada. Opportunities to bring the full ensemble to Newfoundland and Labrador are relatively rare, making the tour a special occasion for audiences. Tonight’s concert gets underway 7 p.m. at the Arts and Culture Centre.
