It’s new and will be a two day summit for Western Newfoundland’s business and industry leaders. The Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade is hosting the West Coast Business & Investment Summit in October. Amy Stoodley-Thorne of Pedal and Shift says the idea is to bring people together who are shaping the economic future of Western NL. She says this includes business leaders, major project proponents, Indigenous leaders, investors and government decision-makers.
Stoodley-Thorne says the timing is right for this and there is a lot of momentum in this area right now. She says the Summit is really asking what can Western NL do today to be ready for the growth that could be coming tomorrow.
