Western Regional Waste Management is pleased with their efforts to “Green Up the Games.” They placed marked recycling bins at venues for the NL Summer Games, which recently took place in Corner Brook and Stephenville. On Bayfm’s “Trash Talk,” Outreach Coordinator Lynn Howse says there were only a few things that could not be recycled and beloonged in the regular garbage.
1400 young athletes attended the Games and Howse says some of them came from parts of the province with no recycling program.
