Premier Tony Wakeham and Mines and Energy Minister Lloyd Parrott are in Norway this week. They’re attending the Offshore Northern Seas annual conference underway until Thursday in Stavanger. After more than 50 years, this global energy forum has grown to be a leading industry event. Wakeham will be meeting with industry reps and talking about Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil production and opportunities in natural gas, clean energy, and energy storage. The Bay du Nord project will be highlighted as well as how offshore developments can strengthen energy security while supporting economic growth, investment and job creation.
