United Way Newfoundland and Labrador has invested nearly $385,000 to 41 charitable programs across the province! Representatives of local Charitable Organizations along with donors from the private and public sectors gathered in the capital city yesterday afternoon. Executive Director Lisa-Marie Fifield says at the United Way, they have three focuses with the first being “All that Kids Can Be.” She says the second is “Moving People form Poverty to Possibility” and the third is healthy People Strong Communities. Fifield says some funding is coming to the west coast for the Stephenville Emergency Food Services Program. United Way Newfoundland and Labrador has invested over 8 million dollars in social and community serving organizations throughout NL.
