This included 75 percent from Canada and the remaining was an even mix of US and world travellers.
The Corner Brook Visitor Information Centre is open for the tourism season and the expectation is that it will be a busy one. Steve Churchill is the director of the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade and says it’s now open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m and the RV dump site is accessible 24 hours a day, however during the off season and year round, tourism services are available at the GCBBT.
The centre opened in June and Churchill says hundreds of people have checked it out already. During the month of June, 600 people visited the centre, with 75 percent from Canada and the remaining was an even mix of US and world travellers. Churchill says the NL Summer Games will add to an expected busy tourism season this year.
