    RCMP NL warn of latest email scam where scammer pretends to be with the force

    The scammer stated that the individual was the subject of a police investigation for sexual offences committed against a youth and that the individual was found guilty of these offences.

    A warning from RCMP NL today of an email scam that is currently in circulation. The scammer is representing themselves as part of the RCMP, investigating online sexual related offences against youth. It happened Monday in Sheshatshiu. The scammer stated that the individual was the subject of a police investigation for sexual offences committed against a youth and that the individual was found guilty of these offences. If you receive an email similar to this, please contact your local police.
