This group of volunteers can help with dog walking, trips to the vet, temporary care, or rehoming if that's what the senior wants.
ElderDog Canada launched in Corner Brook a month ago and since that time, this group of volunteers has helped older people needing a hand to care for their dogs. Christine Doucet and Christine Young came on Bayfm to talk about services Corner Brook Pawd offers, things like dog walking or transportation to a vet. Doucet says this includes temporary care and while they are not an animal rescue group, if a senior decides their dog needs a new home, they can also help with that. Meanwhile, Young says she jumped at the chance to get involved and says the stories she hears from clients are memorable and warms the heart. Corner Brook Pawd is accepting applications for new clients who can email cornerbrookldr@elderdog.ca.
