Brake wouldn’t get into details about other similar projects, but did say they are being developed.

Qalipu First Nation (QFN) Chief Jenny Brake is looking forward to a positive relationship with the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Earlier this week, the Chief signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NCC concerning the establishment of a “Future Protected” wilderness area in central known as “Charlie’s Place.” She says it’s an area that was traditionally occupied by beothuck and mi’kmaq  people for thousands of years. Chief Brake says the NCC will help to support their conservation efforts for this special place and others across traditional territory. She says building relationships with industry ensures the environment is protected. Brake wouldn’t get into details about other similar projects, but did say they are being developed.
