Premier Tony Wakeham focused on healthcare funding and Canada's defense strategy at last week's Premiers meetings

    Wakeham said 80 percent of the cost of healthcare delivery across the country is about people and retention and recruitment. 

    Canada’s Premiers wrapped up two days of meetings last week and high on Premier Tony Wakeham’s agenda was the critical nature of healthcare funding. During a media availability on Friday, Wakeham said 80 percent of the cost of healthcare delivery across the country is about people and retention and recruitment. 

    Meanwhile, Wakeham also spoke about how this province is ready to support Canada's New Defence Industrial Strategy. Premiers also talked about the cost of living, tariffs and opportunities that lie ahead.
