Education Minister Krista Lynn Howell says they’re continuing work on the Early Childcare Learning action plan and expect to release a report in the next few weeks.
Education Minister Krista Lynn Howell says since January 1st, there are 8,340 spaces for children at $10 a day. She says while this is great news there is more to be done. Howell says the focus is on not for profit groups who want to be a part of the solution. She says a new child care demand portal will be launched soon to help give a better idea of how many spaces are needed. Howell says they’re continuing work on the Early Childcare Learning action plan and expect to release a report in the next few weeks. She says this province was the first to implement the $10-dollar a day childcare.
