Opposition Shadow education Minister, Paul Dinn, is once again raising concerns over what he says is the failure of Government to address the many problems affecting early childhood education. Dinn recently hosted a town hall meeting to discuss issues facing the childcare sector. He says communication emerged as a central theme, with participants expressing frustration over the lack of communication, clarity, and transparency from the government. Dinn says “funding was another major concern raised by participants, with operators facing financial strain and some considering closing their doors due to inadequate support.” More concerns related to inequalities that the Operating Grant Program age rates have created with limited after school spaces and inclusive spaces.
