Cost of electricity could go up 2.25 percent on July 1st, 2027

    A pre-hearing will take place at the PUB in St. John’s on July 9th.

    NL Hydro has applied to the Public Utilities Board to up the cost of electricity by 2.25 percent effective July 1st of next year. Also, they want a full review of their 2027 costs including purchase costs connected to Muskrat Falls. A pre-hearing will take place at the PUB in St. John’s on July 9th and anyone wanting to attend as an intervenor must send a request to the board by June 29th.
