A recent memorandum of understanding signed with the federal government means NL will have jurisdiction over any wind hydrogen development in bay areas.
Industry Minister Andrew Parsons says a recent memorandum of understanding signed with the federal government means NL will have jurisdiction over any wind hydrogen development in bay areas. This will be similar to what’s in the Atlantic Accord dealing with oil and gas. Parsons says this is a big deal. World Energy GH2 recently announced a one year delay on their anticipated southwest coast wind hydrogen development due to time needed for European customers to be able to receive hydrogen. Parsons says the project is still a go and the company is very ambitious. Parsons says the MOU is another opportunity for this province to get revenue through economic development.
