Mulroney's daughter posted a statement to social media Thursday night.
Former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney has died at the age of 84.
“He died peacefully, surrounded by family” his daughter Caroline said in a post to Twitter on Thursday evening.
Mulroney received medical treatment for prostate cancer in 2022 but had recovered by 2023, according to media reports.
