A couple of big road construction projects at major intersections in Corner Brook have finally wrapped up and motorists can enjoy disruption free driving again. The Deep Gulch project involved the replacement of a huge culvert at the intersection of University Drive and O’Connell Drive, and further up the road, the lights at Elizabeth Street and O’Connell Drive have now been completed. Mayor Linda Chaisson thanked residents and drivers for their ongoing patience during the projects. The new traffic lights also include accessible signals, which Chaisson says will make it easier for people with mobility issues to be able to cross the street safely.
