When questioned in the House of Assembly yesterday, Fisheries Minister Elvis Loveless said government does support moving ahead with a capelin fishery.
The opposition had a chance to ask questions about the capelin fishery in the House of Assembly yesterday. Deputy opposition House Leader Craig Pardy says the fishery is a billion dollar a year industry that many people rely on. He asked about calls to close the commercial capelin fishery.
