WEC Executive Director Katie Temple says the Growing Dome Program is intended to be a large community greenhouse to a growing local food network in Corner Brook.
There will be a chance next month to check out the large dome shaped greenhouse across from the mill in Corner Brook. The project is a partnership between the Western Environment Centre and the City of Corner Brook. WEC Executive Director Katie Temple says the Growing Dome Program is intended to be a large community greenhouse to a growing local food network in Corner Brook. This growing season WEC will run a pilot greenhouse ambassador program that sees community members share the greenhouse space and grow food together. Temple says the community partner for the pilot is the Association of New Canadians - Corner Brook. The Grand Opening of the dome greenhouse happens Saturday, June 1st at 10 am.
