A teenager from Mt. Moriah has been selected to participate in the 2024 Vimy annual Pilgrimage, which sees Canadian youth travel to France and Belgium to pay their respects at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial. Abby Welshman is one of twenty young people ages 14 to 17 who will make the trek this year in this prestigious educational program from April 3rd to the 10th. The 8-day program includes daily visits to important sites, museums, cemeteries and historic battlefields from the First World War. Students will immerse themselves in history and better understand the impact that continues to resonate today. This experience will provide them with transferable skills and unique perspectives from the past, and will allow them to connect with peers, fellow leaders of tomorrow.
