Spending time in the backcountry area can be a stress reliever for many but for some, it can lead to tense moments and a faster heartbeat. Nikita Compton was hunting in the Goose Arm area of Deer Lake Monday evening when she came across a pack of what she thinks were coyotes although they look like wolves. She says there were two young ones coming towards them then two more joined in. Compton says they could be hybrids, or coywolves, and her pictures on social media have been getting a lot of comments. She was with her boyfriend in a truck and also had her five year old German Sheppard, Meeka aboard who was weaning at them, which grabbed the attention of these wild animals. Compton says the younger ones ran towards the truck but the older ones started to run away and after a bit they all left together.
