RCMP arrested a man in Stephenville during a traffic stop this week who was wanted on a province-wide warrant. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says Bay St. George RCMP noticed a vehicle being driven by a known suspended driver Wednesday night on Queen Street. The driver could not provide proof of insurance or registration. That’s when police also confirmed the 40-year-old Trout River man was wanted.
O’Donaghey says he was wanted on charges of flight from police and dangerous driving. He was released from custody to appear in court at a later date, handed tickets under the Highway Traffic Act, and the vehicle was seized.
