Speedy Glass in Corner Brook posted a “Breaking News” story on their facebook page yesterday. It stated “Members of Platoon B of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have been caught “red” handed”…… giving back. Owner Nadine Margeson says after a thorough investigation, she can confirm some serious charges; possession of canned goods with intent to donate, excessive generosity, helping neighbours without a permit, conspiracy to fill local food bank shelves and being suspiciously awesome members of our community.
Margeson says the evidence was overwhelming and the verdict: guilty on all charges. All jokes aside, she says the RNC spend their days protecting and serving our community, and then they go above and beyond to help even more.
Meanwhile, Margeson says red bags with donations can be dropped off at their location until this Friday. Every bag filled gets an entry form to win a pizza party and Margeson says many are deciding to donate it if they win. All donations will be delivered to foodbanks in Corner Brook, Pasadena and Deer Lake after Labour Day.
