Crabby’s BBQ Shack and the Texas Rangers BBQ are back at the grills vying for the title of best ribs.
What’s that smell? It’s coming from the Margaret Bowater Park area of Corner Brook and it’s making mouths water. The annual Ribfest kicked off 11 o’clock this morning. Crabby’s BBQ Shack and the Texas Rangers BBQ are back at the grills vying for the title of best ribs. Robin Ellsworth is the Supervisor of Recreation with the city. She tells Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit, the entertainment is free. There will be fireworks in Corner Brook tonight at 10 o’clock, right after Ribfest. Mayor Jim Parsons told Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit says these are the fireworks that got rained out during last weekend’s Jigs and Wheels festival. Ribfest will feature free music all weekend. Parsons says it’s great to see some new entertainers. Ribfest will continue at Margaret Bowater Park until 11 o'clock tonight and tomorrow night, and Sunday from 11 a.m. until the ribs run out.
