RCMP Traffic Services West suspend driver's licence for excessive speed

    Shortly after 10 a.m. on July 20, an officer with RCMP Traffic Services West observed a vehicle travelling at speeds up to 132 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Route 430, south of Rocky Harbour.

    A motorist had his vehicle seized and licence suspended roadside Monday morning after he was stopped by RCMP Traffic Services West for travelling more than 50km/hr over the posted limit on Route 430.Shortly after 10 a.m. on July 20, an officer with RCMP Traffic Services West observed a vehicle travelling at speeds up to 132 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Route 430, south of Rocky Harbour.

    A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, a 30 -year-old Trout River man, was ticketed for excessive speeding. His licence was suspended, and his vehicle was impounded by police.
