    In Corner Brook an emotional ceremony took place at Branch 13 with the presentation of a painting.

    Friday was the 100th Anniversary of the The Royal Canadian Legion In Canada. In Corner Brook an emotional ceremony took place at Branch 13 with the presentation of a painting. Sonya McCue was there to witness it,her  grandfather was among those injured in war. She spoke to Bay Fm and shared her grandfather’s story. 

     

    McCue said when her grandfather returned to Corner Brook after the war he became a carpenter and helped build the Majestic Theatre. Her grandfather’s discharge papers are now on permanent display at the Legion. McCue spoke about what that means to her and her family.
