    Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP arrests impaired driver

    Shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday evening, police conducting a traffic enforcement observed a vehicle travelling well under the posted speed limit. The driver showed signs of impairment and later failed a roadside screening

    Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP charged a 41-year-old man impaired operation on Saturday night during a safety patrol near Codroy.Shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday evening, police conducting a traffic enforcement observed a vehicle  travelling well under the posted speed limit. The driver showed signs of impairment and later failed a  roadside screening.

    His driver's licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded by police.
