Westjet is back at the Deer Lake Regional airport  with its non-stop route to Toronto Pearson and a new, non-stop route to Calgary International (YYC). Tammy Priddle is the President and CEO of the Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority. The airport served just under 300,000 passengers last year at 92% of the pre-pandemic level of traffic. With this return and new service, Priddle says it will “provide the community with more connections to Ontario and Alberta as well as international connections and will support recovery with capacity at a level this summer 20% higher than 2019”
