During this past weekend, the RNC seized a number of vehicles and suspended drivers licenses in the Corner Brook Region. On Friday (Feb. 20) around 1:30 a.m,. a traffic safety stop on Main Street resulted in a 23-year-old being charged with impaired driving and refusal. On Saturday (Feb. 21) a traffic stop on Broadway led to a seven-day driving suspension for a 21-year-old after he provided a roadside sample indicating he had consumed alcohol. By law, drivers under 22 years of age must maintain a zero blood alcohol level while driving.  During a one hour period on Sunday,  three drivers ages 27, 33 and 36, all had their licences suspended following roadside screening in the early morning hours.
