During a one hour period on Sunday, three drivers ages 27, 33 and 36, all had their licences suspended following roadside screening in the early morning hours.
During this past weekend, the RNC seized a number of vehicles and suspended drivers licenses in the Corner Brook Region. On Friday (Feb. 20) around 1:30 a.m,. a traffic safety stop on Main Street resulted in a 23-year-old being charged with impaired driving and refusal. On Saturday (Feb. 21) a traffic stop on Broadway led to a seven-day driving suspension for a 21-year-old after he provided a roadside sample indicating he had consumed alcohol. By law, drivers under 22 years of age must maintain a zero blood alcohol level while driving. During a one hour period on Sunday, three drivers ages 27, 33 and 36, all had their licences suspended following roadside screening in the early morning hours. Two other weekend drivers, aged 30 and 38, also faced license suspensions and had their vehicles towed after roadside screening tests.
