Tomorrow marks Canada’s 159th birthday commemorating confederation in 1867.
There’s a big birthday party for Canada planned for tomorrow at Margaret Bowater Park in Corner Brook. On Bayfm, Mayor Linda Chaisson says the full day of events kicks off at 8:30 tomorrow morning at city square. At 1030 the ceremony at the War Memorial in Curling gets underway and at noon is the Coleman’s Bike Rodeo.
Chaisson says from 1:30 onward it’s a party in the park with cup cakes, cake cutting, face painting, and live entertainment for all ages.
She says the canteen will be open, as well as the Splash Pad, the pool, and the City Train will be operating. Fireworks will get underway at 10:15 p.m. Tomorrow marks Canada’s 159th birthday commemorating confederation in 1867.
