An Alberta man is facing charges after an armed robbery in Roddickton last week. RCMP Cpl Jesse O’ Donaghey says they were called to the scene near a business on Major Street around 5 o’clock Friday evening. A man, armed with a knife, threatened the victim and demanded cash. He fled the scene in a light-coloured SUV prior to police arrival.
O’Donaghey says the suspect was located shortly afterward at the intersection on Major Street and Route 433. A traffic stop was conducted, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The man was later released from police custody on strict conditions imposed by police. He is expected appear in Provincial Court on October 5, 2026 on Criminal Code charges of robbery with weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose,
