Two people are facing charges after police found cocaine, cash and weapons at a traffic stop in Deer Lake last week. The RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation (JFO) West and RCMP West arrested two people Wednesday. During the stop, police say drug trafficking paraphernalia and several edged weapons were among the items seized. Bert Gosney, 44, and 38-year-old Krystal Lee White, both of Deer Lake, were later released from custody with conditions. They are each charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and are expected to appear in court in September 2026.
