Three young people are facing charges after breaking into a home in Deer Lake and assaulting the residents and damaging the property. RCMP Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says last Tuesday around 2:45 a.m. police got several calls from the public about the three males fighting in a neighbourhood. When police arrived at the scene, they learned that three suspects had broken into a nearby home, assaulted the residents and damaged the property.
Emergency medical services personnel attended the home to assess the victims and treated minor injuries.

O’Donaghey says all three males have been charged with breaking and entering a residence, assault – four counts, assault with a weapon – two counts, and mischief – two counts.
This incident is still under investigation with more charges possible.
