On Bayfm, Mayor Jim Parsons says it’s the same location as the former Seven Seas restaurant and is a beautiful piece of property in the centre of downtown.
There are a couple of new developments that have been approved by Corner Brook city hall. At Monday night’s meeting, Councillor Charles Pender says one proponent wants to convert the second floor of the building at 16 West Street into several apartment units and the main floor will be for commercial use.
In December, the application was advertised and put on the city’s website but staff didn’t receive any responses against or for the project. On Bayfm, Mayor Jim Parsons says it’s the same location as the former Seven Seas restaurant and is a beautiful piece of property in the centre of downtown. He says there isn’t much space for parking in the area but the proponent has figured out a solution with parking at the church. As well, Parsons says a new vehicle dealership is going up on Confederation Drive next to another car dealership. Permits have been issued and work has started. At Monday’s meeting the city also rescinded a stop work order on Lundrigan Drive.
