Organizers are busy with final preparations for the third annual Elmastukwek Mawio’mi taking place this weekend in Corner Brook. Mawio’mi is the Migmaw word for “gathering” Qalipu First Nations Ward Councillor Sherry Dean says this is a two day event happening Saturday and Sunday. She joined Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit and says they’re having a lot of fun. Dean says last year around 800 people took part in the event and this year they’re expecting over a thousand people. She says Saturday calls for rain but most events are taking place inside at Grenfell Campus. Activities on Sunday will take place at Blow Me Down Ski Trails and Dean says everyone is invited.
