The Hew & Draw Hotel is looking for an artist. A social media post says the hotel is taking applications for an artist in residence to design and install a public mural. It will be on a highly visible sea can bar located in the Boomstick Garden on Todd Street (east end of the Hew & Draw Hotel). The budget is $1500 +HST for design and installation. All materials, supplies and accommodations at the Hew & Draw will be provided. Artwork is to be installed on two (2) exterior walls of the sea can; 8 x 8 facing West Street, 20 x 8 facing the Hew & Draw Hotel. Artwork must be colorful and bold to be viewed from a distance.
