Nearly 3000 gifts were donated last year which went into 395 toy hampers, up 8 percent from 2022.
For 43 years now, the Salvation Army Gingerbread House in Corner Brook has collected toys and put smiles on many faces Christmas morning. The sweet little house is located in the Valley Mall and opened for the season this morning. The Salvation Army band played and spectators were warmed by the voices of the East Side Elementary School choir. Bayfm Manager Lenny Benoit kicked off the event this morning. Nearly 3000 gifts were donated last year which went into 395 toy hampers, up 8 percent from 2022. The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign also kicked off this morning with the goal of raising $105.000.
