Residents are legally required to conserve water and failure to do so is an offence which could result in a fine.
The Town of Hughes Brook is still under a State of Emergency and Water Conservation Order. Council will be continuing the schedule of shut offs, nightly from 9pm to 6:30am and daily from 9am to 3pm. Residents are legally required to conserve water and failure to do so is an offence which could result in a fine. Council also has the authority to shut off curb stops where residents are not conserving. Dam levels are continually monitored daily and staff are also looking into other options to help secure the water supply.
