No injuries in a hit and run in Stephenville yesterday afternoon

    The driver was ticketed for failing to stop at the scene of an accident, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle on a roadway.

    A 25-year-old woman from Barachois Brook is facing fines after a hit and run in Stephenville. Bay St. George RCMP got a call about it around 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says a RV struck a vehicle on Hillview Avenue and the driver did not stay at the scene. No injuries were reported to police. The RV was located by officers a short time later and was also not registered or insured.

    The driver was ticketed for failing to stop at the scene of an accident, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle on a roadway. The RV was seized and impounded.
