There are 100K opportunities for youth through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, up from 75K last year.
Canada’s Secretary of State for Children and Youth took some time from her visit to Gros Morne for a chat on Bayfm yesterday. Anna Gainey says this year, there are 100K opportunities for youth through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, up from 75K last year. She says there are 628 jobs in the Long Range Mountains riding.
Meanwhile, school has finished for the summer, but Gainey says the School Food Program was a 5 year pilot but in year two, last fall, a decision was made to make that permanent. She says it’s important that kids are getting nutritious food and learning how to make good choices. Gainey is also the MP for Notre-Dame-de Gras-Westmount in Quebec.
