While students are getting ready to start classes soon at college or university in Corner Brook, the scramble is on to find suitable housing. Grenfell campus is asking residents to let them know if they have a vacant apartment or even a room for rent. Bob Edwards is head of Grenfell Campus Enforcement. He says the campus has 600 rooms which are already applied for during the early part of spring. Edwards says there is a wait list and some need to change their plans. Edwards says it’s not just new young people who are looking for a place to rent, they have students completing their masters also, and faculty need places to rent and are not permitted to stay in Grenfell housing.
