Two young people have been selected to be the Tim Horton’s Social Media Ambassadors for the 51st Corner Brook Winter Carnival from February 16th-25th. For the past couple of weeks, 9 amazing high school students have been showing the judges exactly how they can be an asset to the carnival. Dave Elms has been active with the carnival committee for the past 30 years. He says it was a tough decision for the judges, who selected Sadie Macdonell and Gavin Staples. Elms says these young people will play a big role during carnival. Opening ceremonies for Corner Brook Winter Carnival will be February 16th with a flag raising and torch lighting at city hall starting 6 p.m.
