Westjet flights returned last night at the Deer Lake Regional Airport

    CUPE represented  cabin crew walked off the job Sunday but on Monday, it was announced that a tentative deal will be brought to members for a vote.

    It could be a couple of days before some passengers flying out of the Deer Lake Regional Airport are rebooked after a weekend strike by Westjet attendants. That’s according to CEO Tammy Priddle who says some ticket holders did manage to get on flights through Porter Airlines and Air Canada. CUPE represented  cabin crew walked off the job Sunday but on Monday, it was announced that a tentative deal will be brought to members for a vote. Priddle says Westjet flights at YDF returned last night. She says the Westjet service from Deer Lake is a direct flight to or from Calgary. For more information go to westjet.com
