Deer Lake RCMP looking for a missing man, 68-year-old Perry Green

    Green is a Caucasian man with blue eyes, he stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 155 pounds.

    UPDATE: Update #1 (August 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.) – Police have received new images and an updated clothing description for missing person Perry Green. Based on surveillance images, Green was wearing a grey t-shirt, a pair of black pants, black shoes and a dark coloured jacket when he left Port aux Basques, en route to St. John’s. 

    EARLIER STORY: Deer Lake RCMP are looking for a man whose vehicle was located in the Birchy Narrows area this morning. Police say  the family of 68-year-old Perry Green believed he was driving between Port aux Basques and St. John’s, however he did not arrive. His blue Chevrolet Track was found around 6 o’clock this morning. Deer Lake Regional Search and Rescue (GSAR) and RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) are searching the area. Green is a Caucasian man with blue eyes, he stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 155 pounds.
