The RNC were busy the day after Valentine’s handing out impaired driving charges and seizing three vehicles in Corner Brook…and all within a two-hour period. Cst Stephanie Myers says early Sunday morning, police stopped a vehicle on Gillam’s Road. The 28-year-old male driver failed a roadside screening test and was also charged for breaching a probation order. He was released to appear in court at a later date. Hours later, at a traffic stop on Main Street a 26-year-old man was charged and is due in court at a later date. At another traffic stop on Broadway that morning, a 24-year-old male driver had a suspended license. Myers says the first driver was stopped around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday and the third was pulled over at 3:45 a.m.
