Two people were charged with impaired driving in Corner Brook last week. Around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 9), RNC were called to a single-vehicle collision on the North Shore Highway in Gillams where a vehicle was found in a ditch. As a result, an elderly man was charged with impaired driving and refusing the breathalyzer and issued a Summary Offence Ticket for having open liquor in the vehicle. He also had his license suspended and vehicle seized. Just before 3 a.m. on Thursday (Oct. 10), officers conducted a traffic stop on O’Connell Drive in Corner Brook. A 23-year-old female was charged with impaired driving. Her vehicle was seized and her license was suspended.
