The driver was identified as 45-year-old Alan Renouf who has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief and assault with a weapon.
RCMP arrested a man in a rural area outside of Deer Lake Monday night after he fled from police at a high rate of speed. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says they got a report of a suspicious vehicle and tried to pull the driver over. The driver was identified as 45-year-old Alan Renouf and RCMP stopped the vehicle a short time later. Renouf has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief and assault with a weapon.
