Qalipu First Nation swearing-in ceremony takes place tomorrow

    Chief Jenny Brake will be sworn into office while also welcoming Vice-Chief Central Region, Colleen Paul, and Vice-Chief Western Region, Charles White, as well as eight ward councillors.

    Qalipu First Nation will welcome their newly elected Chief and Council with a Swearing-In Ceremony tomorrow. Chief Jenny Brake will be sworn into office while also welcoming Vice-Chief Central Region, Colleen Paul, and Vice-Chief Western Region, Charles White, as well as eight ward councillors. The ceremony will begin 9:30 a.m. at Marble Mountain with traditional drumming and dancing. The formal ceremony will start at 10 o’clock.
