PSD Marlow and her handler attended the scene and located two of the occupants hiding in the bushes nearby.
A couple of Police Service Dogs are certainly helping to take a bite out of crime assisting with the take down of three people who fled from RCMP. Dean Clarke has the details. Last Wednesday afternoon police tried to stop a vehicle in Bay Roberts but the driver fled at a high rate of speed. In the interests of public safety, officers did not pursue the vehicle. A short time later, the vehicle was turning down an all-terrain vehicle path and occupants fled the vehicle on foot in a wooded area. PSD Marlow and her handler attended the scene and located two of the occupants hiding in the bushes nearby. Both individuals surrendered themselves and were taken into police custody without incident. Elsewhere in Labrador, RCMP were called to an assault in Happy Valley-Goose Bay around 9:15 p.m. last Wednesday. Police Service Dog Phox and his handler conducted a track and located the suspect hiding in a wooded area nearby. He was arrested without incident.
